Be Encouraged ~ February 2015

February is the month we have set aside to celebrate love. To reflect upon the ones you love, and the ones who love you.  We celebrates by sending cards, speaking poems, buying candy, sending gifts and putting pretty pictures and clever quotes on face book!  It is a fun time of celebrating love, some are serious and some are very animated!  The day comes and then it is gone for another year! When we say we love someone and love something in this context; like we love chocolate, or we love pretty jewelry or flowers, we are lumping everything in a general worldly definition of love.  We soon forget about the flowers as they fade and wilt, we eat the chocolates and even our relationships at times come and go. These things give us a spurt of joy, a feeling of being loved for a time.  I am not saying these are bad things but they are not lasting, it is a showing of love as the world sees it.

But God! Daddy’s love is deep; His love is ever lasting and never ending, His love is unconditional. He gives His love to us freely, a gift we can’t earn, just receive freely!  His love for us is deep, all encompassing and all consuming.  Yes, His love covers us and sets us free, covers our sin, our sickness, our hurts, grieves and sorrows.  He loved us first!

I John 1:5 “But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.”

As we walk daily with Daddy God, His love is perfected in us and that should be our goal! As our love is being perfected then we can reach out to those around us and give them His love that is in us!  This is the love that the world around us is seeking, seeking to see, seeking to feel and to experience! We are the conduit that God is using to flood the earth with His love and His goodness. Christ’s presence always results in love!!  Let us celebrate God and spread His love all over this world!!!  Seek God’s presence ~ seek Him deeper, experience God’s presence ~ experience Him deeper and then share His love and presence!! Spread His Love!

I Corinthians 13:13 “And now abide faith, hope, love, these three, but the greatest of these is love”
